I chose to pursue technical art because it combines my love of the technical side of computers, with my love of the visual arts and animation. I thrive during the puzzle of devising the most robust way to bring my envisioned systems to life. But my favorite part of all is the experience of showing a modeler how their character was brought to life, or an animator how I made their job easier.
I went to school at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, where I earned a BFA by learning the whole 3D PBR pipeline of creating geometry in maya and Zbrush, and moving it all the way to engine, including animation, and even blueprint. for the last year I have been working on my own projects to refine the rigging, and Unreal parts of my portfolio. Meanwhile I have worked retail at the same store for the last four years.
At home, my most played games are Minecraft, Fortnight, Terraria, Slay the spire, and lately I've been loving playing cooperative games like plate up, and Baldur's Gate with my fiancée. We live outside Denver with our ménagère of pets including a pug, five cats, a hamster, and a blue tongued skink. My other hobbies include camping, puzzles, running, board games, reading sci-fi, and going to the zoo!
